Senior Olympics competitive, fun

On Aug. 24, The ROC will be a lively place as senior citizens enjoy fellowship and compete in the annual Sulphur Springs Senior Citizens Summer Olympic Games.

The day features a number of events for people of all levels of physical mobility and fitness. The day will start out at 9:30 a.m. with a 1K Race, with the rest of the games following at 10 a.m.  

The bean bag toss, Nerf javelin throw, horseshoes and washer pitching are among the more popular activities in which most people can participate, including competitors in wheelchairs or on assisted walking devices.
